Winter Hikes: 2: Carlsbad Caverns

0

The weather doesn’t matter when you’re hiking underground!  Carlsbad Caverns is always around 56 degrees inside, but it least it won’t rain or snow.  Take the natural entrance for a long walk downhill into the cave, where thousands of bats hang overhead.  Once inside, explore the Big Room, which is as big as six football fields!

Location

The entrance to Carlsbad Caverns National Park is located in southern New Mexico, on US 62.
