Not far away from the viewpoints on Lookout Mountain, you’ll find the grave of legendary western showman William “Buffalo Bill” Cody.
Cody worked as a cowboy, prospector, and rode with the Pony Express, before starting the “Wild West” shows that toured the country.
Cody was buried here, at his own request.
The gravesite is just a short walk uphill from the parking area. You will also find a gift shop and museum, which preserves artifacts from the “Wild West” shows.
Along Interstate 70 in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, you’ll find one of the best antique malls I’ve ever visited. The Brass Armadillo is located on a frontage road, accessible from either exit 266 or 267.
