Not far away from the viewpoints on Lookout Mountain, you’ll find the grave of legendary western showman William “Buffalo Bill” Cody.
Cody worked as a cowboy, prospector, and rode with the Pony Express, before starting the “Wild West” shows that toured the country.
Cody was buried here, at his own request.
The gravesite is just a short walk uphill from the parking area. You will also find a gift shop and museum, which preserves artifacts from the “Wild West” shows.
[tmt_info =””]Along Interstate 70 in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, you’ll find one of the best antique malls I’ve ever visited. The Brass Armadillo is located on a frontage road, accessible from either exit 266 or 267.[/tmt_info]
