NY 7, VT 9: Albany to Bennington

The drive east from Albany into Vermont is a nice fall drive.  Once you escape the city of Troy, you’ll pass through a picturesque rural landscape.

I was headed from the Empire State’s capitol city to Bennington, Vermont, to begin a day-long drive on Vermont Route 100.  The scenery along this road was just as good as anything I saw later in the day.  In addition to some homes and businesses, you’ll pass by plenty of farm silos and barns…

… some cattle eating an early lunch…

… horses and hills…

… and a very literal interpretation of the term “flower bed”.
