Winter Hikes: 16: Palm Canyon Trail, Anzo Borrego

0

If you see an oasis, it’s not necessarily a mirage.  They really do exist, and wintertime is the perfect time to hike through Borrego Palm Canyon, to a perfectly-placed clump of palm trees. The hike is about a mile and a half, one way, plus you can add some exploring, and an alternate route on the return trip.  The rest of Anzo Borrego State Park will fill the rest of your day with driving and desert sightseeing.

Location

From downtown Borrego Springs, head west on Palm Canyon Drive to enter Anzo Borrego State Park.
