On your way into Boulder, you’ll pass one more attraction that’s worth a stop: Boulder Falls. You won’t find any signs along the road–just watch for a roadside parking area and crosswalk.
Boulder Falls’ cascade is 40 feet high… and just a short walk from the parking area.
After visiting the falls, then driving through the beautiful town of Boulder, I spent the night in the town of Longmont. You will find plenty of places to stay along Interstate 25. If money isn’t a concern, consider staying in Estes Park. A motel room there will likely run $100 or more, but you’ll be able to start day 2 at the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park.
