Slatyfork, West Virginia is nothing more than a wide spot in the road, along US 219. But you will want to stop at an old gas station, that’s now been converted into a unique store.
Sharp’s Country Store doesn’t pump gas anymore. Instead, it sells antiques, maple syrup, peach preserves, homemade soaps, and snacks for the road. Every corner is packed with something unusual, so you’ll need to spend a few minutes exploring.
There’s an old truck and a barn next door. Notice the farmer hanging from the loft?
Sharp’s Kissing Bridge is across the street. It may look like an authentic covered bridge, but it’s actually only a few years old.
