BRBA Tour: Albuquerque Rail Yards

0

Admittedly, this is a minor attraction on your tour of Breaking Bad locations.  It’s not very exciting, because it’s all behind fences, and you can’t wander around through this abandoned playground of broken glass and rusted metal.  From Jesse and Jane’s place, just take Lead Avenue west.

Along 2nd Street SW, about 10 blocks south of Central Avenue

Keen BrBa fans will, however, recognize it as the place where Mike put Jesse to the test, after a long day of drop-offs and pick-ups.

I think it’s worth noting that the neighborhoods around the Albuquerque Rail Yards were the closest thing I experienced to the “meth” side of Albuquerque.  It felt dangerous.  Don’t take any big risks outside your car, taking pictures, etc.

Drive back up to Central Avenue and enjoy the Route 66 drive through the heart of Albuquerque.  You can make a couple of detours to places I skipped, like the Civic Plaza at 3rd St. NW and Marquette Ave. NW, and the DEA office at 320 Gold Avenue SW.
