Death Valley National Park
Scotty's Castle

Another trail connects with the path to Scotty's Grave. This one takes you into the valley below the castle. Here you'll find a few rusty old cars and some other mining-related artifacts. There was only enough here to hold my attention for about 15 minutes, then I moved on.

Even if you visited too late in the year to see wildflowers blooming on the floor of Death Valley, you may still find some in full bloom here. The wildflowers around Scotty's Castle peak later in the spring than those in the valley, because of the higher elevation and cooler temperatures. |
