Seligman, Arizona, on Route 66

The main objective for the final day of the trip is to make it back to Las Vegas in time to leave.  However, there’s still plenty to experience between Sedona and Sin City.

Hop off Interstate 40 at Seligman to experience a great stretch of Old US Route 66.

While Seligman is small, it has all the kitschy Route 66 stores you’ll ever need.  You’ll also find this restored Phillip’s 66 gas station in front of the Route 66 Museum.

If you’re wondering why there’s a big red mug in these photos, you’ll have to visit my other website, www.bigredmug.com.

The old stretch of 66 is familiar territory.  My Arches & Canyons trip followed the route between Seligman and Kingman, Arizona, although on that trip, I was headed the other direction.  Click here to pick up the trip just outside Kingman.  Or, continue to the next page to experience my Rte. 66 side trip into the Grand Canyon.
