Harmony Borax Works Interpretive Site

As you continue to head south, the next attraction you’ll pass is the Harmony Borax Works. The park has arranged the old equipment into an easy, paved interpretive trail, with signs to explain how borax was mined, refined, and transported.

As you leave the parking lot, turn left. A short, one way road winds through the yellow badlands of Mustard Canyon. The road meets up with Badwater Road just a few miles north of the Harmony Borax Works turnoff.

Note: This trip was first published in 2005.  I spent much more time in Death Valley during the Superbloom of 2016.
