You could run into some snow in Sedona, but odds are good that you’ll have spectacular weather in the winter. There are numerous great trails around town, but I’d suggest you try the Airport Loop, just to get a feel for the area. This trail circles one of Sedona’s famous energy vortexes, as well as the airport runway. While that might not sound appealing, this mesa in the middle of town provides great views in every direction. You’ll be able to see the Munds Mountain Wilderness, Bell Rock, Brins Mesa, and the Red Rock-Secret Mountain Wilderness, all from right here. The loop is a little more than 3 miles.

From Route 89A in Sedona, look for Airport Road. Follow it towards the airport until you see the trailhead parking area on the left side of the road.
