This 9-day trip took place during the first week of October, 2010 -- perhaps the optimal time for viewing fall colors. It begins and ends in Manchester, New Hampshire, though Boston, Albany, or Portland could all be used as good start/end points. The trip makes a clockwise loop through Massachusetts, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine, visiting the Green and White Mountains, and Acadia National Park.
